Building Updates.

As momentum begins to ramp up with our building project, we have added the final piece to our project team. Hammond Construction has been selected as our construction manager. This is a significant step as we move toward the next steps of the design phase, and the eventual ground breaking of our new facility. See below for more information about Hammond Construction and an introduction to the team working on our project.

Updated: Apr 4

The new PK-12 building layout is beginning to take shape upon completion of intensive

programming sessions with GPD Group. These sessions culminated in a Program of

Requirements (POR) which is now being used to develop spatial adjacencies, refine

departmental layouts, and analyze the building’s relationship with the site. Floor plans now

reveal a general concept for placement of both academic and non-academic areas, while the

site plan shows building orientation facing Shreve Road with a welcoming presence.

Our PK-12 building project is nearing the end of its programming phase upon gathering valuable feedback from administrators, teachers, students and the community about their wants and needs for the new school. The architects at GPD Group will use this information to begin translating the program into conceptual drawings during the schematic design phase. The proposed new building location will be situated in the northern half of the current High School parking lot. Once the Construction Manager is selected, options for site logistics (safety and parking while the current buildings remain in operation) will be solidified. We are planning to start construction in the fall of 2022 with the goal of opening for our students in the fall of 2024.
