Plans for our new PK-12 building continue to evolve. After gathering valuable input on the first set of plans, significant changes include a more defined separation between elementary, middle and high school students; changing from three floors to two floors; and rotating the gyms and auditorium. The design is a work in progress, and we thank you for your continued support!
As momentum begins to ramp up with our building project, we have added the final piece to our project team. Hammond Construction has been selected as our construction manager. This is a significant step as we move toward the next steps of the design phase, and the eventual ground breaking of our new facility. The new PK-12 building layout is beginning to take shape upon completion of intensive
programming sessions with GPD Group. These sessions culminated in a Program of
Requirements (POR) which is now being used to develop spatial adjacencies, refine
departmental layouts, and analyze the building’s relationship with the site. Floor plans now
reveal a general concept for placement of both academic and non-academic areas, while the
site plan shows building orientation facing Shreve Road with a welcoming presence.
